How much copper and tin do you need for bronze?
At a forge, 2 copper ingots and 1 tin ingot make 1 bronze. A plan for 13 bronze needs 26 copper and 13 tin before subtracting anything you already own.
Start with equipment, not an arbitrary stack of ore
A bronze axe costs 8 bronze and a cultivator costs 5. Together they require 13 bronze, or 26 copper ingots and 13 tin ingots. They also need 4 wood, 5 core wood and 2 leather scraps. The metal budget is only part of the shopping list.
That is why our planner adds selected items first and expands the bronze recipe second. You can change quantities or quality levels without rebuilding a spreadsheet.

Subtract finished bronze before copper and tin
Suppose you want both tools and already have 3 bronze, 4 copper ingots and 2 tin ingots. You need to craft 10 more bronze. That calls for 20 copper and 10 tin before using your ingot stock, leaving a shopping list of 16 copper ingots and 8 tin ingots.
Do not subtract the same material twice. The planner treats bronze as finished stock, then uses copper and tin only against the bronze still missing. Enter ingots in these fields; raw ore, charcoal, furnace capacity and travel time are outside this calculation.
Keep your forge budget separate
The equipment calculation does not include building your first forge or its improvements. A forge itself needs 6 copper, 4 stone, 4 coal and 10 wood. Keep those 6 copper ingots aside if you have not built one yet.
The 2:1 recipe describes forging bronze from copper and tin. It does not estimate alternative sources such as recovered bronze or scrap bronze. Enter bronze from any source in your finished-bronze inventory.
